Salwa Kobeissi

Salwa Kobeissi is an assistant professor (attachée temporaire d'enseignement et de recherche) at Robert Schuman University Institute of Technology, University of Strasbourg since September 2020.

She obtained her PhD degree in computer science from the University of Strasbourg in June 2021. Her doctorate was funded by Inria. Her doctoral research work was concerned with compilation, parallelization and optimization of programs, and it was done under the supervision of Professor Philippe Clauss. Accordingly, she has been a member of Inria's project team CAMUS and of the research team ICPS at the ICube Laboratory. During her studies, she also had the chance to teach at the University of Strasbourg.

Previously, she obtained a Master of Science degree in computer science from the American University of Beirut in 2016, Beirut, Lebanon. During her gradate studies, she had a full graduate assistantship, so she completed her degree with a teaching and research experience. Her master research work was focused on formal methods, software engineering, and parallel and distributed computing, and it was supervised by Dr. Mohamad Jaber and Professor Yliès Falcone.
